Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field Must have managed and led projects with client facing duties 8-10 years of relevant mechanical design experience SolidWorks with expert-level proficiency Hands-On with deep understanding of DFM, tolerance analysis, FMEA, and verification & validation Experience managing vendors, manufacturing partners, and small teams Strong communication skills Responsibilities Lead full product development cycles from concept through production - including CAD, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing handoff Design complex parts and assemblies in SolidWorks using master modeling, surfacing, plastics, sheet metal, and
ASME Y14.5
drawing standards Write and execute test protocols, analyze results, and integrate electronics, firmware, software, and UX requirements into mechanical designs Own project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships - managing orders, manufacturing partners, and production capability Manage and mentor a team of 2-10 people including employees, interns, vendors, and client staff Lead client communication, write quotes and proposals, and deliver projects across multiple concurrent engagements
