$120,000•$155,000 per year Job Details•We are seeking an Automation Mechanical Engineer to help design and develop advanced manufacturing equipment used in precision laser-based materials processing. This role will focus on the mechanical design and integration of automated systems, motion platforms, and tooling used in high-precision semiconductor manufacturing environments. You will work cross-functionally with optical, process, electrical, and controls engineers to bring complex automation systems from concept through production deployment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop precision mechanical systems and automation platforms for advanced manufacturing equipment Integrate robotics, motion control systems, stages, and automation tooling into production equipment Support the design, build, and testing of prototype and production machines Collaborate with cross-functional teams including optics, controls, and process engineering Optimize system performance, reliability, and manufacturability Participate in system debugging, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts Ideal Background BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Experience designing automation equipment, precision machinery, or semiconductor tools Strong background in mechanical design, motion systems, and manufacturing equipment development Experience with CAD (SolidWorks or similar) and tolerance analysis Familiarity with robotics, motion control, or automated production systems is highly desirable A bit about us:•We are an advanced manufacturing technology company developing next-generation equipment used to produce critical materials for the semiconductor and power electronics industries.
