$135,000•$165,000 per year Job Details•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 5+ years of experience leading products through the complete design lifecycle, from concept development and prototyping to production release. Proficiency with Siemens NX or other 3D CAD software for mechanical design and development. Experience designing electrical enclosures and integrating mechanical and electrical systems. Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and engineering best practices. Experience performing actuator power sizing and evaluating mechanical output requirements against electrical power budgets. Knowledge of BLDC motor selection, integration, and performance optimization. Expertise in actuator packaging, structural design, and layout development to meet performance, durability, static load, and fatigue life requirements. Experience selecting and integrating actuator subcomponents, including motors, gearboxes, bearings, sensors, and drive systems. Familiarity with standard product development processes, including requirements definition, design reviews, testing, and production release. Working knowledge of aerospace industry standards, regulations, and engineering best practices. Exposure to requirements validation and verification processes in accordance with ARP4754. Experience supporting aerospace component qualification, environmental testing, and certification activities.
