Description:
- This position is for an early career Mechanical Engineer that collaborates well in a team environment, has excellent communication skills, and proactively takes initiative\. We are a community of engineers looking for a dependable early career engineer to join our tight
- knit group\.
Location:
- This position does not support teleworking
- ; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in:
- Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full
- time\.
- What does this role look like?
- As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a flexible and dynamic team environment while gaining direct product knowledge from experienced engineers\. Additionally, you will have numerous opportunities to help represent the Harness and Cable team, with many opportunities for career development along the way\.
- Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
- In this role, you will work closely alongside experienced engineers to help meet safety, schedule, and cost\.
- Your scope of responsibility will include assisting engineers in the technical development and coordination of harness and cable assembly manufacturing drawings, harness parts lists, wire connection lists, engineering change support, and/or schematic capture of wiring diagrams\.
- Additionally, your contributions will aid in investigating design factors such as part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, weight, and cost\.
- Additional responsibilities may include: documentation release, testing requirement definition, Interface Control Drawing \(ICD\) interpretation, detailed Component Performance Specification interpretation, conceptual designs, and trade studies\.
- To be effective in this role, you will need:
- Strong collaboration skills will be key to your success as you work alongside experienced engineers in partnership with other disciplines, such as Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Engineering\.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other related discipline\.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Coursework/experience in mechanical and/or electrical design
- Fluency in CAD applications and modeling \(Creo Parametric, Zuken E3, etc\.\) tools
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

Work Schedules:
- Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

Pay Rate:
- The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $60,200
- $106,030\.
