Engineering Technician, Equipment, Cell Engineering

What to Expect Tesla is accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy, and we're looking for a dedicated Equipment Engineering Technician to join our Cell Engineering team in Louisville, Colorado. In this role, you will ensure maximum uptime and reliability of next-generation battery cell pilot production and R&D equipment. You'll be hands-on in building, debugging, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, automation, and robotics systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for someone passionate about rapid problem-solving, equipment ownership, and contributing directly to Tesla's battery technology scale-up. What You'll Do Build, install, commission, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems on state-of-the-art cell manufacturing equipment Troubleshoot complex issues using root cause analysis and drive effective recovery from machine breakdowns Perform hands-on work with automation, robotics, fixtures, and tooling Collaborate closely with engineers to optimize equipment performance, reliability, and throughput Document maintenance activities, issues, and improvements clearly Work in a dynamic environment that includes tight spaces, extended standing, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
