Job Description

at Synerfac Technical Staffing in Seaford, Delaware, United States Job Description The Mechanical Engineer IV will be responsible for producing full mechanical design packages, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and serving as a technical leader within the project lifecycle. The role includes direct involvement in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design for a variety of commercial and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of complete mechanical engineering deliverables in line with approved project scopes.
  • Design and analyze HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including load calculations, system layout, and equipment selection.
  • Interface with electrical, structural, and civil teams to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Carrier HAP (preferred) for detailed design documentation and system performance validation.
  • Review design documents prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy, code compliance, and adherence to company standards.
  • Attend internal and client-facing quality control meetings, offering strategic input on design approach and system performance.
  • Manage multiple ongoing projects, ensuring all work is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Perform periodic local site visits with occasional overnight travel as required.
