Manager, Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement FLSA Status:
Hourly The Engineering Co‑Op will support the Philadelphia Engineering team across a wide range of technical projects within Process Engineering, Project Engineering, and Reliability Engineering. This role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, providing opportunities to contribute to meaningful operational improvements and real‑world engineering challenges. Local candidates in the Philadelphia tri‑state area are strongly preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty effectively. Support product launches by drafting and executing engineering test protocols. Draft and execute change documentation. Develop equipment setup sheets, rapid changeover guides, troubleshooting guides, and standard work documents. Assist with equipment troubleshooting and performance‑improvement initiatives. Support equipment commissioning projects. Maintain and enhance Engineering technical databases and internal tools. Provide production support, including hands‑on work with packaging equipment. Adhere to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, and safety standards. Maintain reliable and consistent attendance. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Strong college‑level mathematical skills. Intermediate computer proficiency, with the ability to perform complex tasks using various software programs. Full professional proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English. High-level reasoning skills, including the ability to: Define problems Collect and analyze data Establish facts Draw valid conclusions Interpret complex technical instructions, diagrams, and variable conditions
Preferred:
Ability to follow instructions and respond positively to management direction. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings. Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
