Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing and routing hoses, pipes, and tubing for mobile vehicle or industrial equipment thermal management and HVAC systems. Job Requirements BS or MS degree 2-3 years post-graduation experience designing and routing hoses, piping/pipes, and tubing for cooling, heating, and HVAC applications on mobile vehicles or large industrial equipment CAD experience supporting 3D routing and packaging of tubing/piping/hose systems Ability to create and maintain routing models and related engineering documentation Preferred Skills NX and Teamcenter experience Experience with other CAD/PDM systems (considered as alternatives) Internship or co-op experience focused on tubing/piping/hose routing in CAD Hands-on experience with hose/tube fabrication, installation, routing validation, or prototype build support Experience with packaging, clearance checks, and design for manufacturability/serviceability for routed systems Job Responsibilities Design and route hoses, pipes, and tubing for cooling, heating, and HVAC systems in 3D CAD Develop routing layouts considering packaging constraints, clearances, mounting, and service access Create and update CAD models, assemblies, and associated drawings/BOMs as required Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate routed systems with surrounding structures and components Support prototype builds and troubleshooting, incorporating hands-on feedback into routing updates Manage design data and revisions in PDM tools (Teamcenter or equivalent)
