Role Overview The Component Engineer II is responsible for providing technical support across manufacturing, repair, and field service organizations while maintaining ownership of assigned component families. This role applies engineering principles to ensure safe delivery of high-quality components that meet customer requirements, while supporting continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives under general supervision. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as technical lead for assigned components and resolve technical issues
  • Ensure component quality and manage nonconformance dispositions
  • Authorize use or acceptance of nonconforming materials as engineering authority
  • Manage component repair projects to meet schedule and scope requirements
  • Develop process maps, repair scopes, and technical modifications
  • Create technical reports, customer updates, and work instructions
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure complete development and documentation
  • Lead repair development and implementation projects
  • Drive process optimization and eliminate non-value-added activities
  • Support
ISO 9001
compliance and audit requirements
  • Ensure products meet internal and customer specifications
  • Collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Adhere to safety standards and company policies
  • Travel up to 15% as required Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with gas turbine or similar components
  • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles and lead technical initiatives
  • Experience with repair development and implementation processes
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and present information effectively
  • Proficiency in engineering tools and standard computer applications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in industrial environments Why Should You Apply?
