Engineering is a New York City-based MEP design and consulting firm specializing in fully coordinated, code-compliant engineering solutions from conceptual design through construction completion. Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and implement mechanical systems. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will operate with various departments to develop all construction and mechanical specifications, provide code-compliant MEP design for new construction projects, and perform MEP systems commissioning and inspections to ensure the successful completion and mechanical, electrical, and energy code adherence of new projects. Key Responsibilities:

Design mechanical systems for new and existing buildings Conduct field surveys and assess existing systems Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing Develop coordinated drawings and models in Revit and AutoCAD Research and apply relevant codes and standards Prepare technical reports and documentation Attend project meetings and collaborate across disciplines Support construction administration efforts, including shop drawing reviews and site coordination

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (required) Minimum 3 years of direct experience in mechanical engineering design. Must have a thorough knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection design, corresponding terminology, and general knowledge of MEP design. Experience with high-rise residential, hospitality, or public/institutional projects strongly preferred Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment Familiarity with NYC building codes and design regulations (preferred) Benefits Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid holidays Opportunities for performance bonuses
