Define and own system-level test and validation strategy across multiple programs, including coverage models, risk assessment, and release criteria Architect scalable, efficient test solutions across hardware, software, and system integration layers Lead cross-functional efforts with design, product, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure robust validation and smooth product releases Drive automation strategy to improve test coverage, reduce cycle time, and increase efficiency Analyze complex datasets to identify failure trends, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions Establish and champion best practices, methodologies, and standards for test engineering across the organization Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership without relying on formal authority Serve as a key decision-maker in product readiness and quality assessmentsWHO WE ARE
Our functional group, the Production Operations Test Technicians, is composed of 7 professionals with a common purpose to provide the pilots of the United States and our Allies with high quality pilot training devices. We are the connection between each program's development engineers who integrate new capabilities into subsystems and the remainder of our Production Operations organization who create high quality products in repeatable processes. We have a unique role that gains expertise in both deployable hardware and deployable software.WHO YOU ARE
We're looking for a Senior Staff Test Engineer to define and drive our end-to-end test strategy for complex systems. This is a high-impact technical leadership role focused on shaping how validation is done across programs—not just executing tests. You'll influence architecture, improve quality at scale, and serve as a go-to expert for the most challenging technical problems.WHY JOIN US

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field 10+ years of experience in test engineering, system validation, or a closely related discipline Deep expertise in system-level testing, hardware/software integration, and validation methodologies Proven experience designing and implementing test architectures and automation frameworks Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive root cause analysisDesired Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional initiatives and influence technical direction Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts Experience in high-volume manufacturing, lab instrumentation, or automated test equipment (ATE), depending on domain Background in developing scalable validation frameworks for complex or safety-critical systems Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant field Track record of improving product quality and test efficiency at an organizational levelClearance Level:
