$80/Hr. W2 Job Responsibilities Performs design of one or more moderately complex or portions of structural components and functional systems
  • With limited supervision, applies theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to the solution of more complex components, structures, and sub-assemblies
  • Responds in a timely manner to all requests and explores all avenues within authority and makes appropriate referrals to other sources
  • Makes thoughtful and valuable suggestions and recommendations for improving own work and/or group's work
  • Establish requirements for materials, structural components, and functional systems
  • Release results as design data after review from other engineers
  • Document results of design activities Basic Qualifications
  • Requires bachelor's in mechanical engineering/aerospace engineering & 2 years of related experience or Master's Degree in Engineering
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Working knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) software
  • Knowledge of ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Preferred Qualifications
  • Current active Security Clearance
  • Working knowledge of NX
  • Knowledge of general machine shop fabrication processes, additive manufacture experience desirable
  • Understanding of design for assembly / design for manufacturing (DFA/DFM)
  • Ability and willingness to travel Knowledge of additive manufacturing/material/manufacturing metallic structures/composites fined spaces, and working at heights.
