Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer located in Sanford, FL. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing machines, utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, conducting research and development activities, and managing projects. The position also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to the creation of innovative engineering solutions. Position Summary Design and optimize custom built machines used for dispensing and curing adhesives and sealants for various industries like automotive, electronics and ammunition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Manage all phases of the design process for a multitude of products, components, parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies including drafting, dimensioning, tolerance, prototyping and documenting results Analyze electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems for performance and documentation Develop manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and bill of material for manufacturing and application Read and interpret blue prints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports Consult with Control Engineer and other team members to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information Research and develop customer design proposals, specifications and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements or designs or applications Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Degree in Mechanical Engineering Solid Works, Auto-CAD Ability to create Bill of Materials Coordinate with customers and vendors Microsoft Office preferred
