Job Description

Lead Mechanical Engineer
  • Tampa, FL A growing MEP design firm in Tampa is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to establish and lead its new mechanical department.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of mechanical design across a wide range of projects and help shape the future of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design for commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and island-based projects.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of electrical engineers and designers.
  • Present confidently to clients and identify opportunities for additional services.
  • Travel occasionally to client sites (up to 10 percent).
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to department growth.
Requirements:
  • PE license required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP design.
  • Experience with data centers and humid climate design preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Revit experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Southeast U.
S.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary range: $130,000 to $170,000 depending on experience.
  • Standard benefits package including retirement plan.
