Senior Mechanical Engineer•HVAC / Plumbing / Building Systems Tampa, FL | Hybrid A leading MEP engineering group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead complex building projects across commercial, healthcare, education, mixed‑use, and mission‑critical sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who thrives in technical leadership, client-facing roles, and mentoring developing engineers. What You'll Do Lead mechanical system design, including HVAC, hydronic systems, air distribution, and building controls Oversee plumbing system design (domestic water, sanitary, storm, medical gas, and specialty systems) Develop and review drawings, specifications, load calculations, and equipment selections Coordinate closely with architectural and multidisciplinary MEP teams Serve as project engineer, managing scope, schedule, budgets, and technical quality Attend client meetings, perform site assessments, and provide construction‑phase support Mentor junior engineers/designers and provide technical leadership across the team What We're Looking For 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building systems Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required Strong background in HVAC and plumbing design, codes, and industry standards Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Experience with commercial, healthcare, education, mixed‑use, or mission‑critical environments Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Senior/Staff Engineer
