Job Description

Mechanical Engineer•HVAC / Plumbing / Building Systems Atlanta, GA | Hybrid (4 days remote, 1 day in office) A multidisciplinary engineering group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support mechanical and plumbing system design across government, commercial, industrial, institutional, and mission‑critical facilities. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys detailed design work, cross‑discipline collaboration, and the flexibility of a mostly‑remote schedule. What You'll Do Design HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, air distribution, and building controls Develop plumbing system layouts (domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty systems) Prepare drawings, load calculations, equipment selections, and technical specifications Coordinate with architectural, electrical, structural, and civil disciplines Support field verification, site visits, and construction‑phase activities as needed Assist with system analyses, energy modeling, and code reviews Contribute to project scheduling, planning, and quality assurance workflows What We're Looking For 3-8+ years of mechanical engineering experience (building systems) PE required Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing codes and design standards Experience in government, institutional, commercial, or industrial project environments is a plus Strong communication and collaboration skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Work Environment 4 days remote, 1 day in office (Atlanta)•ideal for those seeking flexibility while staying connected to a collaborative engineering team.
