Full-Time About the Opportunity Our client, a leading manufacturer of electric and gas-powered vehicles, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a range of growth initiatives across both electric (EV) and internal combustion (ICE) platforms . This is a hands-on role focused on vehicle powertrain systems , offering the opportunity to work on critical components such as motors, engines, transmissions, and related subsystems. Key Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of vehicle mechanical architecture (e.g., motors, engines, CVTs, transaxles) Own the development of mechanical specifications, validation plans, and component requirements Lead and contribute to engineering processes including DFMEA, DVP&R, risk analysis, and engineering change management Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers to support product development and implementation Drive projects forward by identifying risks, removing roadblocks, and ensuring on-time execution Support testing, validation, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure reliability and performance of designs Act as a key engineering contact for troubleshooting and resolving product issues , including customer-facing concerns Mentor junior engineers, designers, and technicians Additional Responsibilities Contribute to technology roadmaps and long-term product strategy Ensure alignment with regulatory and industry standards Lead or support cross-functional project teams to meet program milestones Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 9-step problem solving )
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
Experience:
