Job Description

Join Us in Gainesville, GA Step into a role where your CAD expertise shapes real-world products. As a Mechanical Systems CAD Engineer, you will turn ideas into manufacturable solutions, partnering across disciplines to deliver robust components and assemblies. A day in this role You start by translating requirements into 3D models, exploring alternatives and refining details. Mid-morning, you connect with manufacturing and quality to align on tolerances and build intent. After lunch, you run feasibility checks and simulations to vet performance and risk. You wrap the day by releasing drawings and notes, then reviewing a teammate's design for peer feedback. What you will do Create parametric models and detailed drawings for mechanical parts and systems using modern CAD tools. Work closely with cross-functional partners so designs meet specifications, schedules, and downstream needs. Evaluate concepts with analyses, trade studies, and simulations to confirm function and reliability. Author and maintain design documentation such as specifications, BOMs, and engineering reports. Contribute thoughtfully during design reviews, offering and receiving constructive critique. Support production by troubleshooting design-related issues and providing timely technical guidance. Continuously improve by tracking industry methods, materials, and process advances. What you bring BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Hands-on mechanical design experience; background in a manufacturing environment preferred. Proficiency with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Strong analytical mindset and a practical approach to problem solving. Clear communicator and collaborative teammate. Working knowledge of materials and common manufacturing processes. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and hit deadlines.
