Job Description:
A client of Insight Global is seeking a seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to lead projects focused on designing and managing fluid systems. Responsibilities include developing pumping and pipeline processes, ensuring material compatibility, and overseeing instrumentation. The role also involves managing budgets, scheduling, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards for fluid-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement fluid processes, including pumping systems, pipelines, and tanks.
  • Ensure material compatibility and select components such as hoses, valves, strainers, filters, flow meters, heat exchangers, and fittings.
  • Configure liquid storage tanks and related equipment (heating, insulation, level and temperature measurement).
  • Manage instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature gauges) and support packaging line throughput metrics.
  • Participate in project implementation, including testing, installation, and commissioning.
  • Assist in managing capital projects, controlling scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and enforce engineering standards and procedures.
  • Support company expansion and cost-reduction initiatives.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of related experience in a process manufacturing industry (chemical, ethanol, or beverage manufacturing preferred).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software (2D/3D), Microsoft Office, and Plant 3D
  • Comfortable with heavy travel (up to 25%)
  • Strong communication and adaptability
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • PE License
  • PMP Certification
