Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical design
• Drive the mechanical design and development of helmets, hard parts, and related accessories from concept through production.
• Develop detailed CAD models
• Create robust 3D CAD models and assemblies that clearly communicate product function, design intent, and manufacturability.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles
• Ensure designs support high-quality, cost-effective production across a range of manufacturing processes.
• Prototype and validate concepts
• Build and test prototypes using 3D printing, CNC machining, thermoforming, silicone molding, resin casting, and other shop tools to evaluate performance and feasibility.
• Design and execute test protocols
• Create and run testing procedures using custom fixtures, sensors, and data-acquisition tools to verify product performance.
• Perform engineering analysis
• Conduct material selection, mechanical loading, fatigue analysis, and tolerance studies to ensure reliability and durability.
• Iterate using test data
• Use test results and field feedback to evaluate, refine, and improve designs prior to launch.
• Coordinate with suppliers
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support a smooth transition from development into mass production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally
• Partner with industrial design, product management, sourcing, factory engineering, and other internal teams to align on performance targets, timelines, and brand goals.
• Manage multiple projects
• Balance hands-on engineering work, documentation, planning, and communication while driving several projects forward simultaneously.
