Job Summary:
Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support existing products, drive Cost Value Engineering initiatives, and assist in the development of new mechatronic products. The role involves designing and developing mechanical hardware and devices including controllers, sensors, actuators, enclosures, and accessories. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including senior engineers, lab engineers, technicians, technical writers, and vendors to support product development and manufacturing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Design new components and modify existing components for mechatronic products using 3D modeling software. Develop mechanical layouts, component details, and mechanical illustrations. Support project management, engineering development, and report generation activities. Prepare technical documentation to support product designs. Coordinate with vendors to optimize designs and obtain production and tooling cost estimates. Assist field employees in troubleshooting product issues at field offices, distributor locations, or customer sites. Support suppliers and customers in resolving production or product-related issues. Generate product development schedules, cost estimates, and engineering specifications. Assemble or direct assembly of mechanical hardware and systems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years of relevant mechanical design experience. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly, and fabrication for electro-mechanical devices and components. Strong written communication skills for engineering reports and specifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience using engineering and design software tools. Familiarity with Siemens
PLM NX, SAP ERP
systems, and TeamCenter is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSME degree preferred. 3+ years of related design experience using Siemens NX and TeamCenter. Hands-on experience in mechanical laboratory or manufacturing environments preferred.
