12+ MONTHS Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research & Development Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and improvement of innovative products and technologies. This is an entry-level role ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about research, problem-solving, and product development within a regulated environment. The successful candidate will contribute to fundamental and applied research projects, assist in experimental design and execution, analyze data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Conduct fundamental and applied research to support the development of new products, technologies, and processes. Design and execute laboratory experiments, prototype evaluations, and testing activities to assess product performance and functionality. Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data; prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings. Assist in the development and optimization of product designs, materials, and manufacturing processes. Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions using sound engineering judgment. Work independently on assigned projects while managing priorities and meeting project timelines. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with company procedures and applicable quality standards. Support verification and validation activities, including test method development and execution. Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to support innovation initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Bioengineering, or a related technical discipline. Strong understanding of engineering principles, scientific methodologies, and problem-solving techniques. Experience through academic projects, internships, research laboratories, or co-op programs is preferred. Ability to analyze technical data and draw meaningful conclusions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with laboratory testing, experimental design, and data analysis. Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, MATLAB, or similar software. Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent. Knowledge of medical devices, healthcare technologies, or regulated product development environments. Exposure to prototype development, verification testing, or validation activities.
