Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience working with public agencies. Candidates with additional background in transit and transportation will be highly preferred. This role involves supporting multi-disciplinary design projects, producing high-quality construction documents, and collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and project managers. Key Responsibilities Develop mechanical system designs, including HVAC and plumbing, for commercial, residential, and institutional projects. Create and manage detailed Revit/BIM models, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and adherence to project standards. Produce construction drawings, specifications, and calculations that meet applicable codes and project requirements. Coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to resolve design conflicts and maintain overall project quality. Assist in performing load calculations, equipment selections, and system sizing. Support the integration of plumbing and, when applicable, electrical design components into coordinated building systems. Participate in project meetings and provide technical input throughout the design process. Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction-phase support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5-10+ years of experience. Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows (required). Knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and industry best practices. Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. EIT or PE licensure is required.
