Peoria, Illinois Full Time Overview of Position Role Summary:
The CNC Fabrication Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating, developing, and executing manufacturing schedules to the set objectives. Supports daily activities in process developments, validation activities, and change management. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop & execute objectives, & have the ability to meet company objectives within the time lines specifically related to your assigned projects. Essential Responsibilities Support Product Design for Automated welding work cell's and components. Perform various CNC processes for build content. Proven Ability to program Haas, Mazak and various other CNC operations. Read, develop and interpret mechanical diagrams for complex fixtures and system drawings. Collaborate with the automation team in the qualification process of automated systems. Support the development of hardware required for all automation solutions per specifications such as End of Arm tooling and fixtures. Develop Bill of Materials for product builds. Train technicians and operators on products, processes and equipment. Support facility builds with proper use of power tools and measuring equipment. 3D modelling experience to support design development of fixtures, End of Arm tooling, Jigs, and various build components. Travel 20% to client locations for system integration process. Qualifications/Requirements CNC Machinist certification, B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering, quality, or Production and Manufacturing Operations. CNC G-Code, NC Code, Master Cam Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to program 5 and 6 axis DMG, Mazak, and Haas machining centres. Capability to work in teams Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. CAD, Solid Works proficiency.
