Our products combine motor drives, control electronics, sensors, and mechanical design into complete OEM-ready solutions used in high-cycle environments where reliability, durability, and performance matter. As we continue to grow and expand our product portfolio, we are looking for a highly capable Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team and help drive the development of next-generation products and systems. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on mechanical and electromechanical product development across the full product lifecycle, from concept and architecture through prototyping, validation, and production support. You will work closely with electrical, firmware, manufacturing, and product teams to develop robust, manufacturable, and reliable systems for real-world applications. We are looking for an engineer who enjoys solving practical engineering challenges, taking ownership of designs, working across disciplines, and contributing directly to engineering excellence within a growing company. What You'll Do Design, develop, and refine mechanical components and assemblies for electromechanical products and systems Create 3D models, assemblies, and production drawings using Autodesk Inventor Participate in product definition, requirements gathering, and system architecture discussions Design and integrate systems involving motors, gearboxes, drive mechanisms, sensors, and related components Collaborate closely with electrical and firmware engineers to optimize system performance, packaging, and reliability Develop designs with manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and long-term reliability in mind Support prototyping, hands-on product builds, testing, and validation activities Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners on component selection, fabrication methods, tooling, and production improvements Apply working knowledge of injection molded part design including material selection, tolerances, draft considerations, and tooling awareness Support existing products through design improvements, cost reductions, issue resolution, and ongoing production support Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and engineering change documentation Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing processes What We're Looking For We are looking for a practical, hands-on engineer who is comfortable working across mechanical, manufacturing, and electromechanical disciplines in a collaborative product development environment. Core Experience 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical product design Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is a plus Strong proficiency with 3D CAD tools, preferably Autodesk Inventor Experience designing products involving motors, gearboxes, drive systems, or motion-related mechanisms Experience contributing to products through the full development lifecycle, from prototype through production release and ongoing support Working knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal, plastics, and assembly methods Familiarity with injection molded part design and plastic component development Experience with prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and iterative product development Strong mechanical problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to balance technical depth with practical decision making in a fast-moving development environment Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams Experience That Would Be Valuable Experience with motion systems, automation equipment, or access-related products Familiarity with electromechanical system integration and packaging Understanding of environmental and durability considerations for real-world applications Exposure to regulatory or compliance considerations such as UL or IP ratings Experience supporting products in production manufacturing environments Hands-on fabrication, assembly, or testing experience Familiarity with rapid prototyping methods and tools Experience working in small to mid-sized engineering teams where engineers wear multiple hats We do not expect candidates to have experience in every area listed above.
