Job Description

Position Overview SCC Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive growth of SCC Inc's industrial combustion control products. This role combines consultative selling with technical expertise of an engineer. You will manage and grow a defined set of accounts, acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the full sales cycle—from building customer curiosity to technical validation and closing. Key Responsibilities Grow revenue and deepen relationships within an assigned portfolio of accounts Travel domestically approximately 20-40% of the time Lead technical sales conversations by asking strong discovery questions and listening carefully to customer needs Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing follow-ups via phone, email, and in-person meetings Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team Preferred Skills & Experience Sales or customer-facing experience Proven problem-solving and analytical skills Positive, professional attitude with a high level of dependability Why SCC Inc. What Success Looks Like in Year 1 In your first year, success means building a strong foundation in combustion control systems, gaining exposure to real manufacturing environments, and growing confidence in customer-facing technical discussions. You will begin contributing to active sales opportunities, supporting account growth, and learning how to guide customers through technical problem-solving. By year-end, you will be comfortable participating in and leading parts of customer conversations and independently visiting job sites. Most importantly, you will be developing into a trusted resource for both customers and your internal team.
Pay:
From $75,000.00 per year
