Mechanical Engineer Molex life insurance, parental leave United States, Illinois, Lisle 2222 Wellington Court (Show on map) Apr 29, 2026 Your Job We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced fiber optic interconnect solutions. This role will be instrumental in driving Molex's mission to enable high-speed, high-density optical connectivity for tomorrow's data and communication needs. Our Team Molex's Optical Connectivity Group is at the forefront of designing and delivering cutting-edge optical solutions that power data centers, telecom infrastructure, and next-gen computing. What You Will Do Lead the design and validation of fiber optic components and systems, including connectors and cable assemblies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, and product management) to develop scalable optical solutions
Conduct simulations, prototyping, and testing of optical systems to meet performance and reliability standards
Drive continuous improvement in optical design processes and manufacturing techniques
Gain and apply comprehensive understanding of fiber optic products, installation, and test methods to all new product development projects Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
Mechanical design experience in new product development
Sound experience with parametric solid modeling (NX, Creo, SolidWorks)
Design experience with multiple manufacturing techniques (injection molding, insert molding, sheet-metal forming, machining, extrusion)
Desire to learn, be challenged and interact in a cross-functional team environment
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
Within a daily commutable distance to Lisle, IL and will not require relocation assistance For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 - $130,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
