LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer - Machinery Design to join their team. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who thrives in a hands-on, design-driven environment and enjoys seeing projects through from concept to build. This role is responsible for the end-to-end design and development of custom machinery and equipment. You will collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and external partners to deliver robust, production-ready mechanical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys owning designs, solving complex mechanical challenges, and contributing directly to new product development.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed mechanical designs using AutoCAD 3D & 2D and Autodesk Inventor ensuring accuracy and manufacturability. Lead design efforts from initial concept through final production release. Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and validation to support system performance and integrity. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and BOMs. Partner with internal teams and external vendors to specify and integrate components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, and structural elements. Support manufacturing teams during build, assembly, and troubleshooting phases. Apply knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and mechanical systems to optimize designs. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering and production processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline. 7+ years of experience in machinery or equipment design. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 3D& 2D and Autodesk Inventor. Proven experience designing industrial machinery, automated systems, or custom equipment. Solid understanding of mechanical systems including power transmission, structural design, and fabrication methods. Experience working with manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and welding. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Compensation Range:
$80,000 - $90,000
