We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer with strong SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar program experience who enjoys designing real-world products and working closely with manufacturing from concept through production. Responsibilities Design and develop custom fabricated and machined components using SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar program . Create detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies, weldments, and bills of materials (BOMs). Reverse engineer existing parts and equipment. Work directly with production, machining, welding, and fabrication teams to improve manufacturability. Support prototype development, testing, and product improvements. Review customer drawings and specifications to ensure manufacturability. Assist with estimating material requirements and production methods. Maintain engineering documentation and revision control. Provide technical support to sales, purchasing, and manufacturing departments. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve production efficiency. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent experience). Proficiency with SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar program . Experience creating fabrication, machining, and assembly drawings. preferred Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards. Knowledge of machining processes including CNC milling, turning, and fabrication. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Experience with sheet metal, structural steel, weldments, and custom fabrication. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems. Experience with CNC programming or CAM software. Understanding of welding processes and manufacturing methods. +3 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing enfironment Project management experience.
