$50/hour About the Role We are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to support existing products, drive Cost Value Engineering initiatives, and assist in the development of innovative mechatronic products. This role involves designing and developing mechanical hardware and electro-mechanical devices including controllers, sensors, actuators, enclosures, and accessories while collaborating with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams. Key Responsibilities Use 3D modelling software to design new components and modify existing components for mechatronic products Support product development activities including mechanical layouts, component detailing, and mechanical illustrations Prepare technical documentation to support product designs and engineering activities Work with outside vendors to optimize designs and obtain costing for tooling and production quantities Assist field employees, distributors, and customers in troubleshooting product-related issues Visit suppliers or customer locations when needed to resolve production or design issues Generate product cost estimates, schedules, and engineering specifications to support design teams Coordinate with engineering personnel, technicians, lab engineers, and approvals teams during product development Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum of 3 years of relevant Mechanical Design experience Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly, and fabrication for electro-mechanical devices and components Strong written communication skills for engineering specifications and progress reports Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Experience with engineering software tools and 3D modelling platforms Preferred Qualifications Experience using Siemens NX and TeamCenter tools Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP Hands-on experience working in mechanical laboratories or manufacturing environments Experience supporting electro-mechanical product development and troubleshooting activities
