First Shift | Full-Time About the Role Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of innovative products from concept through production. This role will focus on designing mechanical components and assemblies using CAD, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring designs meet production capabilities, industry standards, and customer requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on design work, prototyping, and working closely with manufacturing teams to bring ideas to life. Key Responsibilities Design mechanical components and assemblies using computer-aided design (CAD) software Develop, model, and test product prototypes from concept through production Conduct research and develop design proposals for engineering projects Establish design briefs and maintain organized engineering documentation and records Oversee prototype development and collaborate with purchasing and customer teams to confirm design requirements Create concepts that align with manufacturing and production capabilities Identify and select appropriate materials for product manufacturing Develop parts lists and engineering documentation for production Ensure components and assemblies meet applicable industry standards and customer specifications Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar) Experience designing mechanical components, assemblies, or products Understanding of materials selection and manufacturing processes Ability to develop prototypes and support product testing Strong documentation and engineering record-keeping skills Ability to collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams
Compensation:
Up to $80,000 depending on experience
