Job Description

The primary function of the Mechanical co-op student will be to assist the maintenance department in the completion of tasks that contribute to the efficient and cost-effective operation of the Filer mill.
Responsibilities include:
Work with project engineers as a resource for capital projects. Work on special projects assigned to assist engineers, teach responsibility, and improve communication Assist with maintaining equipment files
Educational Requirements/Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled student majoring in Mechanical Engineering and have completed the freshman year but not surpassed senior status at the following universities: Michigan State University, Michigan Tech, University of Michigan, University of Maine, Western Michigan University, Ferris State University A minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0 is required. You must be eligible to work in the US on a full time basis.
Abilities/Skills:
Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential. Candidate must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
Employer Expectations:
The Co-op student must take ownership of his work. The ability to work with union employees, engineers, other co-ops, operators, and supervisors is a requirement A positive, enthusiastic work attitude is essential. Housing/Relocation Information for a
