This position will develop complex
MECHANICAL
tech stack systems for integration with electrical hardware platforms that focus on materials of construction, structural safety, and power use optimization within the industrial product family master plan. This cross-disciplinary role blends mechanical design with electromechanical integration resulting in an optimal mech-tronic solution. This position requires a demonstrated competency to model, simulate, design, validate, and build reliable solution for demanding real-world use case environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - includes the following, and others may be assigned Independently design and develop mechanical systems and components for heavy equipment platforms. Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and assemblies for mechanical and electromechanical systems. Design wiring harness routing, cable management, connectors, strain relief, and protective structures. Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers on system packaging, thermal considerations, and environmental protection. Perform basic FEA, tolerance analysis, and design trade studies to support design decisions. Develop and execute mechanical validation plans, including fit, function, durability, vibration, and environmental testing. Build and support rapid prototypes using machining, fabrication, welding, or additive manufacturing. Support DFM/DFA and FMEA activities as a contributing team member. Interface with sourcing, supply chain, and production teams to support prototype builds and product release. Create and maintain design documentation including drawings, BOMs, GD&T, and test specifications. Monitor task progress, communicate risks, and manage assigned work independently. Support production launch and field issue resolution as needed. Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience with 3D CAD tools, 2D drawings, assemblies, and PDM/PLM systems. Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and design for manufacturability. Experience designing electromechanical systems, including enclosures, sensor mounting, and cable routing. Familiarity with environmental sealing (IP ratings), vibration/shock considerations, and basic thermal design. Hands-on experience with prototype builds and mechanical testing. Ability to execute designs independently while collaborating cross-functionally. Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Exposure to industrial equipment or mobile/off-highway applications preferred. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field AND 3-5 years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical product design and development, preferably for industrial, heavy-duty, or off-highway applicationBenefits:
