Job Title:
Test Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team in a dynamic role focused on hydraulic test cell operations, LabVIEW integration, and new product development within the aerospace industry. This position offers the opportunity to work on the cutting edge of technology and collaborate with talented design engineers to innovate and improve testing processes. Responsibilities Execute and troubleshoot tests on aircraft components, ensuring accurate calibration and performance validation in hydraulic test cell operations. Develop and maintain test instrumentation using LabVIEW and PLC programming to enable automated data acquisition and control systems tailored to hydraulic testing environments. Collaborate with Design Engineers to fabricate custom test stands and fixtures aligned with Component Maintenance Manual specifications. Apply reverse engineering techniques to resolve complex component testing challenges and support new product introduction. Ensure precise calibration of flow, pressure, RPM, thermal, and vibration sensors using standard units of measurement. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Aeronautical Engineering. Proficiency in Lab
VIEW, PLC
programming, and electrical schematics. Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, schematics, and CAD design (SolidWorks). Skilled in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel functions. Ability to interpret hydraulic component drawings and technical publications. Experience with hand tools and precision instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators. Familiarity with 3D scanning and coordinate measuring equipment for reverse engineering. Competence in fluid mechanics, statistical analysis, and geometric principles. Awareness of
FAA CFR145
Repair Station Guidelines. Capable of presenting technical information clearly and meeting deadlines set by engineering leadership. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in test engineering, test plan development, and test development. Knowledge of aerospace industry standards. Work Environment This position operates in an engineering office setting with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM. The role involves working with advanced technologies and equipment, providing an exciting and challenging environment for professional growth. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wellington, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
