Job Title:
Test Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team in the aerospace industry. This role involves executing and troubleshooting tests on aircraft components, integrating LabVIEW and PLC programming for test instrumentation, and collaborating on new product development. The position offers a long-term contract to hire opportunity in a growing company. Responsibilities Execute and troubleshoot tests on aircraft components, ensuring accurate calibration and performance validation within hydraulic test cell operations. Develop and maintain test instrumentation using LabVIEW and PLC programming, enabling automated data acquisition and control systems for hydraulic testing environments. Collaborate with Design Engineers to fabricate custom test stands and fixtures aligned with Component Maintenance Manual specifications for new product development. Apply reverse engineering techniques to resolve complex component testing challenges and support new product introduction. Ensure precise calibration of flow, pressure, RPM, thermal, and vibration sensors using standard units of measurement. Essential Skills Proficiency in LabVIEW, PLC
programming, and electrical schematics. Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, schematics, and CAD design (SolidWorks). Skilled in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel functions. Ability to interpret hydraulic component drawings and technical publications. Experience with hand tools and precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators. Familiarity with 3D scanning and coordinate measuring equipment for reverse engineering. Competence in fluid mechanics, statistical analysis, and geometric principles. Awareness ofFAA CFR145
Repair Station Guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Aeronautical Engineering. Capable of presenting technical information clearly and meeting deadlines set by engineering leadership. Work Environment The position is based in an engineering office setting, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wellington, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $65.00/hr.
