Job Description

verview K&K is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to lead industrial equipment installation and facility projects within a manufacturing environment. This role manages projects from scope through completion , ensuring safety, schedule, and budget performance. Key Responsibilities Lead equipment installation and modification projects end-to-end Develop scope and support contract & field order negotiations Oversee installation of: Robot/jig cells, conveyors, transfer systems HVAC, exhaust, cooling water, lighting, utilities Hoists, overhead rail, AGVs (as applicable) Manage general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors Coordinate with engineering, operations, and plant leadership Monitor safety, schedule, and budget performance Conduct onsite inspections and ensure spec compliance Support machine specs and procurement activities Drive resolution of field issues and maintain project momentum Provide project close-out and lessons learned Requirements Technical school or equivalent experience Industrial construction/project management experience Experience managing contractors and subcontractors Hands-on exposure to industrial equipment (robots, conveyors, HVAC, piping, hoists) Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills Ability to work off-shifts/weekends as needed Preferred Automotive manufacturing experience Electrical or controls background Experience with machine specs, procurement, AGVs, or automated systems Technical Skills Excel, Word, MS Project (required) AutoCAD (required - basic manipulation/printing) Ideal Candidate Strong field leadership presence Comfortable driving contractors and holding schedules Thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments
