Job Description

Job Summary Hydrocarbon Engineering LLC is a specialized engineering and consulting firm focused on hydrocarbon production allocation, simulation modeling, and measurement assurance for the oil and gas industry. We support operators with innovative solutions that improve production accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational decision-making. We are seeking a mechanical engineer to join our team to support the development and maintenance of production allocation systems to resolve production imbalances, evaluate system performance, and support regulatory and commercial requirements. The ideal candidate is highly driven, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a challenging and dynamic environment. Job Responsibilities Production Allocation Engineer Develop, review, and maintain production allocation methodologies for oil, gas, liquified natural gas, and natural gas liquids Build and maintain simulation and analytical models to support production allocation Perform material balances on measurement systems to identify losses, gains, and system imbalances Evaluate and support virtual and physical metering strategies, including validation of measurement data Analyze large production datasets using Excel, engineering software, and databases. Liason between operations, engineering, scheduling, and production accounting teams Prepare technical engineering reports and executive summaries
