This role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to create efficient and repeatable test solutions that meet customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements. The Test Engineer plays a critical role in new product introduction (NPI), production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives by designing test methods, maintaining test equipment, and analyzing test performance data. This position also supports the development of automated and manual test systems, improves manufacturing throughput and yield, and helps maintain compliance with ISO quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical testing principles, hands-on experience with electromechanical and cable/harness assemblies, and the ability to solve complex production and test-related issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, validate, and maintain test procedures, test plans, and test equipment for electromechanical assemblies and cable/harness products. Develop and support automated and manual test systems, including hardware and software interfaces. Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to define test requirements and acceptance criteria. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities through test strategy development and validation. Troubleshoot test failures, equipment issues, and production test anomalies. Analyze test data and trends to identify process improvement opportunities and support corrective actions. Work directly with customers to clarify testing requirements and ensure compliance with applicable standards. Maintain calibration schedules and preventive maintenance procedures for test equipment. Document test configurations, results, and deviations in accordance with ISO and internal quality system requirements. Train production personnel on testing procedures and proper equipment operation. Support continuous improvement efforts focused on reliability, throughput, efficiency, and yield. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience. 3-5 years of test engineering experience in electronics or contract manufacturing environments. Hands-on experience testing electromechanical assemblies, cable assemblies, and wire harnesses. Experience using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot testers, and automated test systems. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical testing principles and troubleshooting methodologies. Familiarity with test automation software such as LabVIEW, TestStand, or equivalent platforms. Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Experience integrating data collection and traceability systems into manufacturing test processes. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and related workmanship standards. Experience supporting ISO-regulated manufacturing environments and quality systems. Continuous improvement mindset with experience supporting manufacturing efficiency and process optimization initiatives.

$73,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
