Job Description

Position Summary Conceptualize, design and develop new medical devices and technologies including surgical and catheter devices, 3D modeling and simulation techniques in collaboration with team Design and conduct benchtop experiments to complement and/or refine designs and validate computational modeling studies as part of the development process. Work with cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and nurses to obtain patient information, understand clinical need, refine the design and apply the new technologies. Collaborate with lab staff, clinicians, and statisticians to design experiments and write protocols. Perform statistical analysis of experimental results. Prepare oral and written reports for presentation locally and at technical conferences and for publication in scholarly journals. Document inventions and research and assist with preparation of intellectual property filings. Minimum Qualifications Education:
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Science is required; a master's degree is preferred.
