Mechanical Design Engineer

• 100% Onsite
• Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm Job Description Design, build, and test custom machinery and equipment used in manufacturing environments Develop machine layouts, tooling, and fixture designs using SolidWorks Support process development and provide technical expertise across engineering and production teams Perform equipment validation, including creation and execution of validation plans Conduct FEA and engineering analysis to support design decisions Work hands-on with equipment setup, including mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing integration Apply strong machining knowledge and shop practices to support design and fabrication Manage and maintain design data using PDM systems Support high-visibility programs and ongoing manufacturing operations within a regulated environment

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering (Master's preferred) 2+ years of mechanical design experience (or 3-5 years depending on education level) Strong experience with SolidWorks for equipment, fixture, and component design Experience with equipment validation and developing validation plans Proficiency with PDM systems Hands-on experience with machine setup, assembly, and troubleshooting Strong background in machining and fixturing Experience with injection molding processes FEA experience

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the medical device industry Familiarity with ISO13485 and GMP regulated environments Well-rounded engineering background combining design, validation, and hands-on work #
