Job Description

BWT Pharma & Biotech is a market leader in providing high-purity water systems and services to the pharmaceutical and life science industries. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and compliance of our water treatment systems through thorough Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Job Description As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire FAT process for our complex water treatment systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer specifications. You will coordinate and execute FAT activities in collaboration with Project Managers, Process Engineers, and the workshop team, ensuring that all systems are rigorously tested and documented. You will also play a key role in providing technical support for commissioning, R&D projects, and design reviews. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with experience in FAT, testing protocols, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment.
Job Functions:
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Coordinate FAT activities with Project Managers, Process Engineers, and the workshop team. Execute pre-FAT testing to ensure all systems meet the required standards before customer visits. Conduct FATs with clients, completing all FAT documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP). Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical standards such as ASME BPE, GAMP, cGMP, and ISPE guidelines during testing. Complete post-FAT close-out documentation and provide follow-up. Participate in lessons-learned reviews and provide feedback to the engineering team for continuous product improvement. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering a professional and proactive service at all stages of the FAT process.
Documentation and Technical Support:
Develop, review, and maintain testing protocols and related documentation required for FAT. Provide technical support to the Field Service and Commissioning Team, including automation-related assistance. Assist in coordinating and performing testing required for R&D projects, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Collaboration and Process Improvement:
Participate in design reviews for new projects, providing feedback based on FAT testing results.
Other Duties:
Perform any additional tasks as assigned to support the broader engineering and quality assurance goals of the company.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Proven experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), including pre-FAT and post-FAT processes. Familiarity with pharmaceutical standards, including ASME BPE, GAMP, cGMP, and ISPE guidelines. Strong understanding of testing protocols and documentation practices, including Good Documentation Practice (GDP). Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in water treatment and clean utilities. Familiarity with automation systems and control technologies used in water treatment systems. Knowledge of commissioning and field service processes. Project management experience, particularly in a technical or engineering context.
