Job Description

Overview We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer in Newton, MA. Come join our team! We are looking to build services and capabilities through the growth of our key asset•our staff. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Edison, NJ. Responsibilities Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, municipal and healthcare facilities. Conduct site visits, inspections, field surveys to support design and construction phases. Preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, riser diagrams and load calculations. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, electrical, plumbing, structural and other team members. Review of submittals and RFIs during construction administration Serve as Project Engineer and Project Manager on smaller, less complex projects Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD) Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3-7 years of relevant HVAC design experience. Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ICC, NFPA, ASHRAE). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation software. EIT certification; PE license preferred or in progress. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to work independently with general instructions / guidance from senior engineers to produce the expected results Experience with sustainable design and LEED-certified projects. Self-motivated with the ability to multitask to meet specific project deadlines. Ideal candidate would have project management experience.

Compensation:
Minimum:
$90,000•
Maximum:
$120,000. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on the individual candidate's qualifications and location.•The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
