Job Description

Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Mechanical Engineer position that has just opened in Quincy, MA. In this role, you will support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for advanced autonomous subsea systems and vehicles. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to support design, prototyping, integration, and testing of mission-critical hardware. To be considered, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field, 5+ years of experience (or Master's with 3+ years), and an active DoD Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES
The Mechanical Engineer will support the design and development of mechanical systems for autonomous subsea platforms. You will contribute to the full design lifecycle, including modeling, prototyping, testing, and production support.
Responsibilities include:
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and documentation Support prototype assembly, integration, and testing Collaborate with systems, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline Minimum of 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience Experience with mechanical design tools such as SolidWorks Due to the nature of work performed within secure facilities, U.S. citizenship is required Active DoD Secret security clearance required Nice to Have Skills Experience with Windchill or similar PDM tools Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical design standards Experience with prototype development and testing Experience with subsea, maritime, or autonomous systems Other Requirements Ability to work on-site in Quincy, MA Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills If you are a motivated Mechanical Engineer looking to contribute to cutting-edge autonomous defense systems, we encourage you to apply and join a mission-driven engineering team. #SPC1
