• $120,000 + Benefits About the Opportunity JMT Staffing Solutions is partnering with a well-established mechanical contracting firm to hire a Lead Mechanical Designer for their Springfield office.

This is a key role for an experienced professional who thrives in both technical design and client-facing environments. Position Overview The Lead Mechanical Designer will play a critical role in designing mechanical systems, collaborating directly with clients, and supporting preconstruction efforts. This individual will lead design initiatives while also contributing to estimating and vendor coordination. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for commercial and/or industrial projects Work directly with clients to understand project requirements and translate concepts into design solutions Create and manage detailed drawings using AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit Collaborate with internal teams, project managers, and field personnel Assist in project estimating, including takeoffs and scope development Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing and support bid efforts Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client expectations Qualifications 7-13 years of experience in mechanical design within a mechanical contracting environment Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit Strong client-facing experience with the ability to communicate design concepts effectively Experience supporting estimating efforts and working with subcontractors/vendors Solid understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $100,000
