Test Engineer Boyd Thermal Solutions Inc. - 2.7 Woburn, MA Job Details Full-time $110,000 - $130,000 a year 5 hours ago Qualifications Electro-mechanical components Electrical system design Equipment troubleshooting Electrical safety procedures Troubleshooting electrical systems Design engineering Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Job Description We are seeking a test engineer to support our product line of compressor-based chillers, liquid-to-liquid and ambient cooling systems products primarily used in the semi-conductor and medical equipment markets. This individual must be a highly motivated self-starter with exceptional communication skills and a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. Roles and Responsibilities Daily systems production support and troubleshooting of electrical and controls problems on the manufacturing floor Development of electro-mechanical test fixtures for ATP testing of production systems and electrical boxes. Design, develop, and build automated / semi-automated test and processing equipment and test protocols to enable cost effective, reliable, and safe completion of product acceptance tests. Develop, pilot, implement and maintain program for automated test data capture Provide support for qualification and reliability tests including test design, instrumentation selection, test setup and performing tests as required. Develop equipment and procedures to support calibration of instrumentations such as pressure transducers, flow meters, and other fluid measurement devices and controls. Perform advanced calibrations as required. Development of wiring and crimping program for production which meets industry standard IPC-620.
Minimum Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have a BS in electro-mechanical or electrical engineering and 7-10 years of hands-on experience in electrical design and troubleshooting. Knowledge of electrical safety codes and standards is required. In-depth experience with programming PLCs, Lab View software, and PID temperature controllers is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of wiring and crimping standards such as
IPC-620B
is a plus. Prior experience with instrumentation and test setup is desirable. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and MS Access are preferred. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on, team player with the desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Additional experience / skills in the following areas are preferred: Ladder Logic for PLC's Ethernet MODBUS Solidworks Lab View This role is based at our Billerica MA Location. This position will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Base Compensation:
$110,000-$130,000, 1st shift. Bonus eligible.
