Job Description
Senior Test Engineer
- Assist in integrating hardware, software, and sensors into subsea robotic systems
- Support planning and execution of laboratory, dockside, and at-sea testing
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of electromechanical and embedded systems
- Collect, analyze, and organize test data for reporting and documentation
- Contribute to the development of test procedures, checklists, and verification artifacts
- Participate in field testing, including system deployments and data collection
- Maintain configuration control, documentation, and adnce to engineering processes
- Collaborate with systems, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams Required
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering. Other relevant technical BS degrees considered.
- 2 to 8 years of practical experience in Systems Engineering including the following:
- Contributing to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation including TEMPs, test plans and procedures, test readiness reviews, and RVTMs.
- Managing system test requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that meet system requirement.
- Participating in test events.
- Basic understanding of electromechanical systems or embedded software interactions.
- Familiarity with test equipment, data acquisition tools, or lab instrumentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow established workflows.
- Ability to travel for testing, including occasional at-sea operations.
- US citizenship is required. Minimum ability to obtain Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Ability to interpret drawings and schematics for complex electro-mechanical systems. Desired
- Experience with underwater robotics, maritime systems, or oceanographic sensors (academic or professional).
- Basic skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar analysis tools.
- Hands-on lab, prototyping, or field-testing experience.
- Ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance with CI polygraph.
- Experience with US DoD.
- Working knowledge of systems centered software such as Cradle, Cameo, SysML, DOORS, ModelCenter, or equivalent software.
