Job Description

Senior Test Engineer
  • Assist in integrating hardware, software, and sensors into subsea robotic systems
  • Support planning and execution of laboratory, dockside, and at-sea testing
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of electromechanical and embedded systems
  • Collect, analyze, and organize test data for reporting and documentation
  • Contribute to the development of test procedures, checklists, and verification artifacts
  • Participate in field testing, including system deployments and data collection
  • Maintain configuration control, documentation, and adnce to engineering processes
  • Collaborate with systems, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams Required
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering. Other relevant technical BS degrees considered.
  • 2 to 8 years of practical experience in Systems Engineering including the following:
  • Contributing to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation including TEMPs, test plans and procedures, test readiness reviews, and RVTMs.
  • Managing system test requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that meet system requirement.
  • Participating in test events.
  • Basic understanding of electromechanical systems or embedded software interactions.
  • Familiarity with test equipment, data acquisition tools, or lab instrumentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow established workflows.
  • Ability to travel for testing, including occasional at-sea operations.
  • US citizenship is required. Minimum ability to obtain Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and schematics for complex electro-mechanical systems. Desired
  • Experience with underwater robotics, maritime systems, or oceanographic sensors (academic or professional).
  • Basic skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar analysis tools.
  • Hands-on lab, prototyping, or field-testing experience.
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance with CI polygraph.
  • Experience with US DoD.
  • Working knowledge of systems centered software such as Cradle, Cameo, SysML, DOORS, ModelCenter, or equivalent software.
