Responsibilities include designing equipment to meet customer specifications, cost reductions, developing bills of material and maintaining product safety. The candidate must be team oriented and creative. Experience Engineer automated equipment, preferably in the packaging machinery industry with responsibility for design and fabrication Project management working with sales, customers, vendors, to develop schedules, budgets and ensure quality of product and deadlines are met Design automated product, assemblies and layouts Design for manufacturability, process improvements Job Requirements Proficient in using SolidWorks 5 or more years of experience in an industry involving machinery manufacturing Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Understanding design for manufacturability Knowledge of typical manufacturing processes Proven experience meeting deadlines while adapting to changes in the work environment Proficient in selecting different materials, mechanical components and electro-mechanical components
