Mechanical Design Engineer

Brighton, MI This is a full time, in office role

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop mechanical designs supporting new product development and customer requirements. Focus on mechanical system design related to electromechanical components in industrial applications. Evaluate manufacturing technologies and mechanical structures for industrial automation products. Deliver detailed mechanical designs and engineering documentation to internal teams and customers. Prepare samples and coordinate reliability testing and mechanical evaluation. Support production line setup, troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical issues during manufacturing. Work closely with cross functional teams including electrical engineering, project management and manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience in mechanical design in electromechanical components preferred. Experience with mechanical components used in industrial automation. Proficiency with 3D and 2D design tools such as Pro/E, CATIA or AutoCAD. Strong communication and problem solving skills.
