You will provide technical expertise, mentor junior engineers, and drive strategic project initiatives. This role requires independent decision-making, task delegation, and collaboration across departments to ensure project success while upholding engineering standards and company objectives. Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution Lead project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with customer and leadership expectations. Develop and implement strategic action plans for custom projects, considering technical, logistical, and business needs. Maintain project requirements as outlined by leadership or customers, ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards. Accountable for project execution across various stages, providing updates and feedback on schedule adjustments as necessary. Identify future improvement opportunities based on visibility into project challenges and execution gaps. Technical Expertise & Problem-Solving Solve complex technical and creative project challenges with an analytical, data-driven approach. Provide guidance and solutions for manufacturing, material selection, and product design improvements. Understand and support value stream optimization, identifying Cost of Quality (COQ) opportunities and recommending strategies to limit COQ risks. Follow and support the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process, ensuring efficient execution and documentation of changes. Team Leadership & Mentorship Train and mentor junior engineers, providing constructive feedback on assigned tasks. Delegate and assign tasks to team members, ensuring workload balance and timely completion of project deliverables. Help create development plans for team members, guiding professional growth and technical skill enhancement. Build team morale, encourage collaboration, and foster a positive engineering culture. Provide and receive professional growth, development, and mentorship opportunities to improve leadership skills. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication Facilitate and lead meetings with project coordinators, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and IT, ensuring alignment and smooth workflow. Communicate clearly and respectfully with internal and external customers, ensuring transparency and alignment on project progress. Actively listen to different viewpoints and make informed decisions based on cross-functional input. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience required; 10 years preferred in a mechanical design engineering role. Advanced 2D and 3D modeling skills, with proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD (Preferred). Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges and guide others in analytical problem-solving. Experience leading projects, delegating tasks, and mentoring junior engineers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to support and implement complex process changes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $87,000•$107,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and complexity of the role. FLSA Status:
