Develop and manage Engineering project work, including: Equipment design, engineering drawings (CAD), AR preparation, contractor bid package preparation, project management and project implementation. Problem solving is a critical requirement for this position. A variety of problems are presented to this position, ranging from safety concerns to cost improvements, productivity improvements, equipment reliability, and environmental concerns. The Project Engineer must evaluate the issues, design alternatives that resolve the problem, and determine the feasibility of the project. Provide engineering design (layouts, equipment design, drafting) for the plant/plants. Provide support for the plant maintenance department. Assist in problem evaluation and coordinate further engineering work, if required. Manage plant/plants projects, including holding bid meetings, selecting contractors and coordinating contractor activities. Develop A/Rs for projects, including research and project development.IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. At least one year of project engineering experience. One year or more of experience working in a manufacturing setting. Strong project management skills including vendor selection and contractor management. Ability to work daily in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing plant setting during winter and summer months and be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US
